I was in Miss Whitehead's class my sophomore year at Great Falls High. She was so soft spoken and so kind. It was my first period class and I often had a problem with getting there on time, but she was always cool about it. I am going down memory lane this week because I will be in town for a few days, so reading through her obit has brought back lots of memories, as I, too, recognize so many of the names of her dear friends. I never knew she was such a popular lady but it doesn't surprise me. Rest in peace Miss Whitehead.

To all of Lola's family & friends,
We offer our sincere condolences for your loss of this very special lady; the joy and light she brought to your lives was a one-of-a-kind blessing. We pray you will seek the very real comfort and peace offered by our Saviour, Jesus Christ, who loves you so dearly.

Miss Whitehead was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had for math. She would always be there to help me, since I had a lot of problems understanding the subject. She really knew math better than anyobdy. She had good humor, and whenever I came into her room for class, the room would light up with her sweet personality as she wished you a good morning. Plus, she made math a little bit more fun. She will be missed as a teacher and a friend. Lola is with the angels now.

Miss Whitehead was also one of my teachers at "Old Paris Gibson". Her memorial with all the gentlemen callers names,of whom everyone of them was my teacher at one time or another, except Mr. Hocevar, brought back great memories of jr. high for me. Thanks for the memories, Miss Whitehead and God bless you. Lisa Keene

I, too, remember Miss Whitehead as a very special math teacher. She made it fun to learn algebra! Her fellow teachers and friends listed included some of my favorite teachers ever, from the "old" Paris Gibson years. We have lost a great teacher and a wonderful lady.

Lola was a beautiful soul. She was a friend of the family but I really only knew her as a kid. When I was over at her house, I always felt so welcome. She was always smiling. She'll be dearly missed.

I remember Ms. Whitehead as a great math teacher at Paris Gibson Jr. High. One of my favorites.
She will be missed by so many passed students such as myself.

I also first met Miss Whitehead at Paris Gibson. She was very kind and dedicated to each student. Reading your wonderful tribute to her brought back so many memories. I am so glad that she has mentored other teachers so that today's students can benefit from Miss Whitehead's love of teaching.
